Jenny Adams

Receiving her Kukkiwon 1st Dan

Although Jenny tested & received 1st Dan over a year ago, she now received her Kukkiwon (World Taekwondo Headquarters) Certificate. Jenny is also honor student, is 2nd in her High School Class, and very active in the community and her church. She will be leaving us to head to the east coast for college this fall.

Congratulations Jenny!!!

Here are pictures of expected new WTF uniforms for 2013. I am not sure if these are for only poomse practice or the entire art & sport to replace the V Neck. They are considered a Y Neck and in my opinion are meant to resemble traditional Korean hanboks mixed with a martial arts look. I guess making it distinctive in it’s own way!!!

Congratulations to Master Royler Gracie for his promotion to red/black belt, 7th Dan by his brothers, Master Rolker and Master Rickson Gracie! I am proud to be a part of the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu lineage, thanks to my teacher, Master Wellington ‘Megaton’ Dias! www.teammegaton.net

I wanted to say Congratulations to Alan & Eli on their Combat Hapkido exam and promotion to 1st Dan! They did a great job and I was very proud to see some of our senior members leading by example. Although this was our final Combat Hapkido exam at TMW the transition to Modern MooSaDo has gone well and I look forward to continued learning from our highly motivated duo!!

Also, thank you for all those who supported the guys along the way and today at the exam! 

I wanted to announce that “The Martial Way” is the officially the ONLY  Taekwondo or martial arts facility that is registered and recognized by the World Taekwondo Headquarters (Kukkiwon) in Flagstaff and Northern Arizona. In addition Grand Master Bell is the Highest ranking and only registered Master Instructor in Flagstaff and Northern Arizona.

We would like to celebrate that “The Martial Way” leads the path in the area of quality and progressive Taekwondo & Hapkido instruction in Flagstaff, Arizona and we look forward to both programs growing in 2012!!! MooSa – Pil Sung

The Martial Way Flagstaff will be going through ongoing improvements throughout 2012. We started with an update to the reception area and a few other conveniences for our students and clientele. Some features that will change this year are:

• Added seating
• Instructors Wall
• Future Black Belt Wall
• Business Sponsorship Wall
• New front area flooring
• And a few more surprises!!!

In addition we will start a “Student of the Month”, and a few internal & external marketing programs to assist TMW with enrollment. Some goals for 2012 are:

• 150-200 new students (all 3 programs) for 2012
• Plan for summer Instructors Camp and certification
• Making of a instructors manual & make sure staff is well trained
• Build the Tiny Warriors program to a minimum of 100
• Plan to have between 8-12 events throughout the year for TMW families & students
• Get more exposure for Modern MooSaDo/Hapkido (our self protection program)
• Plan for December Black Belt Exam for students
• Develop sponsorship program
• Support a network of fellow instructors so we all grow and improve!
• Last, keep a strong faith, stay focused, enjoy what i do, help others along the way!!

Well, i will sign off for now and stop being so chatty! Hmm, if you know me that is hard to do! lol! Here are some picture of the improvements from the past week for New Years & a few others from the past few months in our Taekwondo program; MMSD/Hapkido & Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu  goals and pictures will be added at a later date!
